Objective:

Through the reproduction of plates by Charles Bargue, and Academic drawings and paintings, the student will exercise his ability to draw analyzing how the original authors of the pieces to be reproduced solved the problems they faced.

 

Methodology:

-Comparative measurement:

Measurement method where the student looks for relationships between proportions, angles and sizes to achieve an accurate replica of the work being reproduced.

-Block-in:

Drawing technique that uses only straight lines to first capture the outline of the object to be drawn and later the silhouette of the shadows inside and outside the object. This technique is used only at the beginning of the drawing process to help the student simplify what he must portray.
